As a working vineyard and winery Bluebell offer visitors a genuine experience of winemaking. Relaxed, fun and informative tours take visitors through the art and science behind winemaking.
The tours offer a true ‘grape to glass’ experience, with an insight into grape growing and winemaking in England. Start with a tour of the beautiful vineyard, seeing where the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties grow, and learning about the myriad vineyard activities taking place throughout the year. A tour of the winery offers deep insights into the sparkling wine making process... after which you can sample the results in the Tasting Room, with five of the current releases on offer.
Wine Tastings
The Tasting Room is open 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday throughout the year and 11am to 4pm on Sundays during the growing season. Tastings are held daily – you can book or drop in and enjoy a flight of five award-winning still and sparkling wines.
Vineyard and Winery Tours
Our tours offer a true 'grape to glass' experience, with fascinating insights into grape growing and winemaking in England. In the vineyard, you can get up close to Bluebell’s ‘Champagne varieties’ - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier – as well as learning the milestones of the grape growing season. Then head to the winery to learn the alchemy that turns these lovingly grown grapes into top-notch English sparkling wine. Finish up sipping the results for yourself in a guided tasting.
Private group tours are also available.
Wine & Cheese Tour
The friendly and knowledgeable Bluebell team hosts a Wine and Cheese Tour most Saturdays. Join a small group for a guided trip round the vineyard and winery, before returning to the tasting room to try not just five sparkling wines, but also a carefully matched selection of beautiful British cheeses.
