Folkestone Harbour Arm
You will want to arrive as early into the afternoon as possible to really make the most of this delightful town, as there is so much to see and do, by starting your day at the Folkestone Harbour Arm. What was once a former rail station and bustling ferry port, Folkestone Harbour Arm has been completely transformed and is now ‘the place to be’. If you are a foodie, this will be complete heaven for you! Along the Harbour Arm you will find an array of different cuisines hosted in an eclectic mix of venues, from Greek street food inside a converted bus to afternoon tea in a vintage 1950s horse box. Enjoy local fish and chips with a twist, straight out the net, followed by a glass of Champagne in The Lighthouse Champagne Bar. A converted lighthouse at the very end of the harbour arm, it's an ideal spot to enjoy a peaceful break at sea.

Dinner at Rocksalt
Head over to Rocksalt Restaurant and Bar for dinner, for some of the finest local produce this coastline has to offer. The restaurant is a 5-10 minute walk along the old railway line, where you will enjoy panoramic views of the picturesque harbour overlooking the English Channel. The seasonal menu means the food is as flavourful as possible, with a mix of fresh fish, locally reared meats and tasty vegetarian options.

Moments away from Rocksalt and central Folkestone is the ideal spot to spend the night on the White Cliffs, under the stars and with nature. The Club Site is approximately 5 minutes drive from centre of Folkestone town and just over 10 minutes from the Channel Tunnel terminal, so it could also be the ideal stop off on your way into the country or just before you depart.

Take a 30 minute drive along the coastline towards Deal where you will spend the day at Walmer Castle and Gardens. With eight acres of award-winning gardens and woodland, take your time to explore the beautiful seasonal displays in The Broadwalk Garden, Kitchen Garden and Queen Mother’s Garden before stopping for some lunch or Afternoon Tea in the castle’s tea room.
